Swedish Massage consists of long, gliding strokes done with the whole hand or the thumb pads, and gently lifting muscles up in a kneading and compressing motion to enhance deeper circulation. One of three components to the massages I traditionally provide. Photo courtesy of ABMP

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Some of the Swedish Massage strokes are used, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain. The second of three main components in the massages I traditionally provide. Photo courtesy of ABMP

Lymphatic Massage for Detox is a treatment to support a healthy immune system. This treatment is supportive of the body, and the session combines gentle lymphatic massage, reflexology and dry skin brushing. NOT INTENDED AS TREATMENT FOR LYMPHEDEMA. CALL OR EMAIL TO BOOK.

Thai Bodywork is described as an assisted form of yoga combined with a variety of massage techniques, Thai Massage is a 2500 year old sacred healing art practiced as medicine in Thailand temples. Your massage therapist will lead you through a series of passive stretches designed to increase flexibility and range of motion. 50 minute session: $65/50 min

Meditation Massage: Deepen the therapeutic effects of your massage with guided meditation. Your session will begin with a guided meditation during which each part of your body is consciously relaxed, using a variety of gentle massage techniques (Acupressure, Craniosacral holds and Swedish & Deep Tissue Massage) Your session culminates as you are guided back to an awakened & relaxed state). 1-hour session (includes 5 minutes prior to and after session to relax on the table)

Massage cups create a suction action when placed on the body. This suction acts to increase circulation to the area and draws stagnant fluid or lactic acid out of the muscle tissue and into the lymphatic system to be flushed out of the body. $5 add on option

Trigger points are located in taut bands of muscles fibers. The trigger point is the most tender point in the band. They are diminished or deactivated by the use of finger pressure or by picking up the muscle fibers in a pincer grip. The third modality I traditionally utilize in my massages. Similar to Acupuncture, Acupressure is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body. During your session, physical pressure is applied to specific acupuncture points with the hand, elbow, or with various devices. Photo courtesy of ABMP

Essential oils, the pure essence of a plant, have been found to provide both psychological and physical benefits. $10 add on option Select this option as an add on when scheduling your session.

FOR APRIL:
174 HZ - My Body is Aligned.
Music tuned to 174 HZ is believed to promote deep relaxation, reduce pain and alleviate stress by resonating with the body's natural healing frequencies.
Cari's description: This program produces a vibration originating from the bottom to the top of the table and vice versa throughout the entire track. Deeper sounding tones in a more rhythmic beat.
You'll lie on the table fully clothed, with blankets and pillows for comfort. You'll be provided with headphones that are connected to the VAT system. While the headphones are not required, it does provide a more immersive experience, and vibration is best felt at moderately higher volume. As an alternative, no headphones may be used effectively but with altered ability to best hear the frequencies/music.
This track is one of Cari's favorites!

Lindsay Palm, LMBT #22024
Born and raised in Alamance County, Lindsay has always been drawn to the many avenues of holistic health and the body-mind-spirit connection. Lindsay graduated from UNC in 2006 and settled into the early part of her career in clinical dentistry. In 2011, she was trained and attuned as a Certified Reiki Master in the Usui-Tibetan tradition and also became certified as a Crystal Therapy Practitioner. She also became certified as a Reflexology Practitioner in 2013. In 2014, after many years of a deeply committed personal yoga practice, she was called to pursue Yoga Teacher Training and subsequently completed her 200-hour certification program. As a seasoned yoga instructor, Lindsay intuitively knew which areas of her students' bodies needed extra attention and focused work. As paths and opportunities continued to unfold, she iced the cake by going to Massage Therapy School. Lindsay loves the opportunity to be hands-on with her clients and to address their personal needs and goals in a custom-tailored fashion. No massage session with Lindsay is ever the same because needs and goals change from week to week! Lindsay strives to leave her clients in a much better condition than that in which they arrived. On a personal level, she is deeply committed to her clients but is also shamelessly obsessed with animals. The key to her heart is if you ask her anything about the love of her life, her goldendoodle, Crosby.
